چکیده

The interaction of Cu2+ with isonicotinic acid hydrazide (INH) and some of its derivatives has been investigated by means of electron spin resonance, nuclear magnetic resonance, and optical absorption studies. It could be shown that an interaction exists between the metal ions and the hydrazine side chain in addition to the very weak interaction with the ring nitrogen. The results obtained indicate the formation of a charge transfer complex.

Synthesis and structural studies of complexes of Cu, Co, Ni and Zn with isonicotinic acid hydrazide and isonicotinic acid (1-naphthylmethylene)hydrazide

Eight new complexes of Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) with isonicotinic acid hydrazide (isoniazid, (INH)) and isonicotinic acid (1-naphthylmethylene)hydrazide (INNMH), having the formula of the type [M(INH)(ac)2] or [M(INNMH)(ac)2] (M = Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II)) and [Cu(INH)(ac)2]2, [Cu(INNMH)(ac)2]2, were synthesized and characterized. All complexes were characterized based on elemental an...

Two nd-zn and sm-zn isonicotinic/nicotinic Acid complexes.

The 4f-3d heterometallic complexes [Nd(L)3(H2O)2]2(ZnCl4)3n • 4nH2O (1) (L = isonicotinic acid) and [Sm(L')3(H2O)2]2(ZnCl4)n • 2nH2O (2) (L' = nicotinic acid) have been obtained by hydrothermal reactions and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffractions. Both complexes feature an infinite 1-D polycationic chain-like structure. Photoluminescent investigations reveal that both c...

Studies on the Charge-Transfer Interaction Between Tamoxifen Citrate and Chloranilic Acid

The complex formed as a consequence of the interaction between the electron-acceptor P-chloranilic acid and an electron donor tamoxifen citrate was employed in the assay of the drug in pure powder and tablets. Chloranilic acid was found to form a charge-transfer complex in a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio, with tamoxifen citrate. The wavelength of maximum absorption for the complex was found to...

Charge-transfer interactions between nucleobases and metal ions: ESR and optical absorption studies.

The charge-transfer interaction of different nucleobases with Cu2+ has been investigated by means of ESR and optical absorption studies. It could be shown that cytosine forms the strongest complex. The greatest reduction of Cu2+ (that is, spin concentration) was obtained, however, with adenine. Based on these results the following order for the electron donor strength of the nucleo bases has b...
